I will describe the work we are doing in the UK for the European Southern Observatory, starting with some background about the UK Astronomy Centre in Edinburgh. Then I'll describe the Multi Object Spectrometer projects we have done and are doing for ESO (KMOS and MOONS). Finally, I'll tell you about the UK programme for the European Extremely Large Telescope: Status of the E-ELT, the instruments we are involved in, and the Adaptive Optics R&D programme. In particular, I'll give a brief update on the CANARY test-bed on the William Herschel Telescope.
